How to Memorize Scripture
Select the verse from the KJV of the Holy Bible.
(Verses on soul winning would be a good start.) Copy the verse on to an index card from the Holy Bible.
(This starts your familiarization with the chapter and verse.) Put the full text of the verse on one side of the card, and the chapter and verse number on the other side of the card.
Twice each day starting on Sunday, recite the verse audibly 5 times twice a day for 7 days, each time reading the chapter, and verse number first, turning the card over, and continuing with the verse itself. In addition on Wednesday, write the chapter and verse from memory on to a piece of paper or in a notebook, compare it to the verse in the Holy Bible and correct any mistakes you have made.
(This will help reinforce the Scripture through application.) By the end of the week you will have memorized the verse.
(Congratulations) On the last week of the month include your previous verses for review by reciting them once each day.
Tip: Write the Chapter & Verse so when you flip it over the verse will be right side up as you view it.
